Abstract Projects is seeking experienced Commercial Carpenters and Plasterers to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. Based in Brisbane QLD ****, this role offers the opportunity to work on diverse commercial projects, showcasing your craftsmanship and technical expertise. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry and plastering work that meets our clients' exacting standards and project specifications.

What you'll be doing
n
Executing carpentry work on commercial projects, including framing, doors and aluminium
n
Performing plastering tasks including wall preparation, plastering application, and finishing to achieve superior surface quality
n
Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, plans and specifications accurately
n
Measuring, cutting and fitting materials with precision to project requirements
n
Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes, safety standards and quality benchmarks
n
Collaborating effectively with other tradespeople, supervisors and project managers on site
n
Maintaining a clean and secure work environment, adhering to site safety protocols and procedures
n
Using hand and power tools proficiently and maintaining equipment in good working order
n
Problem-solving on site to address challenges and adapt to changing project requirements
n
What we're looking for
n
Proven experience as a Commercial Carpenter and/or Plasterers with a strong portfolio of completed commercial projects
n
Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry and plastering techniques, materials and industry best practices
n
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and specialised carpentry and plastering equipment
n




Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints and project specifications
n
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality
n
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Current understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and building codes
n
Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour in varying conditions
n
Reliability, punctuality and professional attitude on site
n
Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or plastering (preferred)
