Litigation Lawyer (Chinese Speaking) 2-5+ PQE
Verge Legal is an established law firm headquartered in the Melbourne CBD. We are a general practice that provides a range of legal services including in commercial law, property law, migration law, criminal law, and litigation/dispute resolution. Our firm caters to a multicultural base, specialising in providing legal services for the local Chinese community.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this full-time role, you will:
Manage a diverse range of litigation matters.
Be involved in disputes relating to civil and commercial disputes, commercial, property and leasing disputes, insolvency matters, etc.
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and other legal documents.
Prepare for and attend court appearances and hearings.
Brief counsel and liaise with clients to ensure clear communication and achieve their desired outcomes.




KEY REQUIREMENTS
Admitted lawyer with a minimum 2-5+ years' experience in litigation with a strong track record of success.
Bilingual with native or proficient level Chinese (Mandarin) language abilities.
Ability to work efficiently and run matters independently.
Experience in other areas of law such as criminal law, commercial transactions, property and leasing, family law, etc., will be highly regarded.
