Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Education Consultant to guide students through their Australian education journey - from initial profile assessment and course selection through to admission and pre-visa preparation.

You'll assess student profiles, understand their academic and career goals, recommend suitable courses and providers, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete before applications reach the visa stage.

Key responsibilities
n
Counsel students on suitable Australian courses, institutions and pathways based on their academic background and career goals, and recommend appropriate options after assessing their profile.
n
Guide students on admission requirements, eligibility criteria and supporting documentation, including Genuine Student (GS) requirements and statements.
n
Review and verify academic, financial and other supporting documents, identifying discrepancies or gaps and resolving them before the visa stage.
n
Coordinate with universities, colleges and education providers on applications and admission requirements.
n
Keep students informed throughout the process - responding to queries promptly and following up on pending documents and application updates.
n
Maintain accurate, well-organised student records.
n
Provide general guidance on the student visa process within the scope of the role, and coordinate with the internal visa team on lodgement matters.
n
Handle complex cases and escalate where required.
n
Meet individual and team KPIs across student counselling, admissions and conversions,



with performance reviewed regularly against agreed targets.

About you
n
Previous experience as an Education Consultant or Student Counsellor, ideally in the Australian education sector.
n
Strong knowledge of Australian education, courses, institutions and admission processes, plus a good understanding of student visa requirements and the GS framework.
n
Hands-on experience in student counselling and profile assessment, with robust attention to detail in document checking.
n
Excellent communication, counselling and customer service skills.
n
Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple applications to deadline.
n
Comfortable working in a KPI-driven, target-focused environment.
n
Able to work both independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct.
