The purpose of the position is to provide an interface between the client, Connect cleaning management and on-site personnel.
The incumbent shall manage the financial and operational responsibilities of the contract through observance of Connect Cleaning Groups Management Systems and compliance to the Company policies and procedures including legal and statutory responsibilities.
The position objective is to maximise value on behalf of the customer through association with Connect Cleaning Group, and to ensure a high level of client satisfaction and employee morale.
Key responsibilities
Manage contractual compliance and contract retention
Ensure actual labour and variable expenditure contained within fortnightly budgets
Undertake quality inspections in accordance with frequencies established by the contract and Connect Cleaning Management System
Manage consumables and services resold sales and margin achievement in accordance with budgets
Ensure 100% adherence of all employees to sign-on procedures
Establish core labour and periodic work plans in accordance with budgets and contractual specifications
Identify performance and productivity opportunities and develop change management plans for continuous improvement
Manage recruitment of staff including pre-employment checks
Handle industrial and employee relations issues
Induct and train new cleaners to site
Conduct risk identification and completion of assessments in conjunction with the Business Manager
Establish the companies' WHS policies and procedures at every site
Develop effective and professional inter-personal relations with clients




Prepare competitive quotations in accordance with Client Service procedures
Appoint and directly manage site supervision to an effective level
Conduct regular face to face meetings with the client representative
Communicate to the Business Manager any deviation from site contract compliance requirements
About you
Degree level (desirable) or formal qualifications in asset or Facility Management
Line management experience including leadership of subordinate reporting employees
Previous experience in a sales or contract management role
Twelve months experience in Commercial Cleaning
Demonstrated abilities in cost control and budgeting
Several years experience in an operational or account management role
Several years experience in project management
Previous experience in employee and industrial relations management
Customer service focused with commitment to providing exceptional customer service
Explicit and concise communication skills, varying communication style depending upon the audience
Excellent attention to detail and written skills
Ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner
Willingness to assist and support others and work effectively with team members
Strong time management and organisational skills
Professional approach and confident manner
Ability to work under pressure
