Job Description

Rostered Days off – participation in Council's 9 day fortnight scheme

$108,203 to $124,433 annual salary + leaseback or vehicle allowance
n
n
The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the management, operation and maintenance of Council's building facilities, ensuring they remain safe, functional, compliant and fit for purpose.
n
About the Role
n
Working closely with the Coordinator, Facilities Management, internal teams, contractors and other stakeholders, the role will contribute to strategic facilities planning while ensuring the effective delivery of day-to-day facilities operations.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Maintenance Management – Coordinate planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, including contractors and vendors.
n
Facilities Operations – Manage building systems, including access control, BMS, lighting controls and CCTV.
n
Planning & Strategy – Support facilities management strategies aligned with organisational and community needs.
n
Inspections – Assess asset condition, maintenance and safety issues, and service levels.
n
Reporting – Report on maintenance, performance, compliance and facility outcomes.
n
Stakeholder Engagement – Build relationships with staff, contractors, tenants and community stakeholders.
n
Compliance – Ensure compliance with legislation, codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
n
Budget & Resources – Support budgets, monitor expenditure and manage resources for value for money.
n
Emergency Preparedness – Support emergency planning, drills and occupant safety initiatives.
n
Sustainability – Promote energy efficiency, waste reduction and environmental initiatives.
n
General – Undertake other facilities management duties as required.
n

About the Person
n
To be successful in this position, ideally you will have:
n
n
Relevant Diploma in facilities management,
engineering, building services, or a related field
n
Substantial experience in facilities management, maintenance coordination or a related role.
n
Sound knowledge of the BCA, Australian Standards, relevant regulations and facilities management best practice. Knowledge of sustainable practices is desirable.
n
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, projects and deadlines.
n
Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build effective relationships.
n
Proficiency in facilities management, data analysis and reporting software.
n
Current Class C Driver Licence.
n
Current Construction Induction (White) Card.
n
