What You'll Do
n
As our People & Culture Manager, you'll guide us across the employment lifecycle and assist us in ensuring our workplace is a safe, inclusive and empowering environment to ensure we support our leaders, engage our workforce, optimise performance and minimise risk to our College.
n

Operate as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees
n
Managing risk across the employment lifecycle
n
Reviewing and updating HR policies and processes on an ongoing basis
n
Delivery of all recruitment and onboarding activities
n
Managing the employee separation process
n
Generating and analysing HR metrics and reports
n
Management of NAISDA's Workplace Health & Safety obligations
n
Building learning and development pathways
n
Strengthening organisational culture by embedding First Nations values, protocols, and ways of working
n
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industrial instruments
n
n
About You
n
Tertiary degree in HR or equivalent work experience and qualifications
n
Previous experience in a similar leadership role
n
Demonstrated understanding of the contemporary issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the impact these issues have on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, societies and culture
n
Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
n
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
n
In-depth knowledge and experience working with employment legislation and industrial instruments
n
Demonstrated influencing skills
n
Business acumen
n
Excellent verbal and written communication
n
Proven ability to investigate and solve problems / develop recommendations
n
Experience and knowledge of a diverse range of Human Resources functions
n
Ability to work under pressure
n
Strong capability to maintain confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy at all times
n
Commitment to teamwork and ability to juggle multiple completing priorities
n
Willingness to work outside standard hours when required, specifically where workload or deadlines require
n
AHRI membership
n
