Job Description
The Commercial Finance Analyst – M&A; will own the financial workstream for acquisitions and Greenfields — from initial assessment and due diligence through Board recommendation, funding covenant requirements, completion support and post-acquisition integration.

Key responsibilities
n
Lead centre-level and portfolio financial due diligence
n
Analyse historical P&Ls;, occupancy, licensed places, daily fees, wages, rent, capex, employee liabilities and working capital
n
Build quality-of-earnings bridges and identify non-recurring, owner-specific, under-market and unsustainable items
n
Evaluate leases, rent escalation, remaining tenure and occupancy-cost risk with legal and property advisers
n
Build integrated base, downside and upside acquisition models with P&L;, cash flow, balance sheet and returns
n
Model purchase price, net debt, working-capital adjustments, completion accounts, earn-outs and deferred consideration
n
Calculate valuation multiples, IRR, cash-on-cash return, payback, covenant headroom and liquidity requirements
n
Prepare concise Investment Committee and Board papers that lead with recommendation, value, risk and conditions precedent
n
Lead budgeting, forecasting,



scenario planning and commercial analysis for the growing multi-service group
n
Support post-acquisition budgets, synergy tracking and ********-day integration reporting
n
About you
n
CA or CPA qualification, or equivalent commercial finance credential
n
Approximately 5–7 years' relevant experience, including meaningful exposure to Transaction Services, Deals, Corporate Finance, Corporate Development or acquisition-heavy commercial finance
n
Advanced Excel financial modelling and strong accounting literacy
n
Demonstrated quality-of-earnings, working-capital and EBITDA-normalisation capability
n
Evidence of writing and presenting executive or Board-level recommendations
n
Ability to challenge assumptions constructively, manage ambiguity and meet transaction deadlines
n
