Position Overview
The Building Cadet / Site Engineer (SE) will play a vital role in supporting the the project delivery team to ensure effective and efficient project execution. This position is a mixture of both on site and Office based, where you will assist in various tasks related to planning, quality assurance, and coordination of construction works.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordination of works in alignment with project scope and program.
Support technical coordination of construction activities, ensuring compliance with design and quality standards.




Foster a culture of quality assurance (QA) among employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Identify and address defects or non-conforming works promptly.
Facilitate closure of Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as identified during audits.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, consultants, and stakeholders regarding quality assurance matters.
Managing material and contractor tenders
Preparation of tender packages
Assisting in time, quality and cost control
Managing and processing progress claims and invoices
Assist in financial programming and budgets
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in construction principles and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. You should possess excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail, with a desire to contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality projects.
Minimum 1 years' experience in the commercial / Residential construction industry.
Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC).
Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
Preferred candidates may have a background in carpentry, which can provide valuable insights into project execution and quality assurance processes.
