Job Description
This newly created position sits within the finance function of a large, privately owned Australian organisation with a complex group structure. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, and working closely with a Senior Financial Accountant and a growing team, it offers a strong first or second move for someone coming out of a Big 4 or mid-tier audit background.

The Role
n
You'll be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant and timely statutory financial reporting across the group, while building your exposure to audit coordination and technical accounting. Day to day, you'll be:

Preparing annual financial statements and solvency declarations for group entities
n
Supporting Board and Audit Committee reporting, including papers on key accounting matters
n
Coordinating the external audit process and resolving audit queries with the businesses
n




Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations to strengthen financial governance
n
Providing technical accounting advice and supporting the implementation of recent accounting standards
n

About You
n
To be considered you'll need:
n
n
CA or CPA qualification (essential)
n
Strong grounding in technical and statutory accounting standards
n
Experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements and coordinating external audits
n
The ability to communicate confidently with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
n
Strong attention to detail and the maturity to manage competing deadlines
n
