, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of land development and civil infrastructure projects while enjoying the benefits of a relaxed regional lifestyle, close to the Capricorn Coast and some of Queensland's best outdoor destinations.
About the Role
Reporting to the
General Manager
and working closely with Project Managers and Senior Designers, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality civil design solutions across a range of projects.
This is a hands-on position that offers genuine responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a direct impact on project outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing detailed civil design drawings, calculations, and documentation
Producing accurate and compliant designs using
12d Model
and
AutoCAD
Supporting project delivery from concept design through to construction documentation
Coordinating and maintaining project documentation and drawing registers
Liaising with local councils, authorities, clients, and external stakeholders
Monitoring project progress and proactively identifying potential risks and solutions
Assisting in the development and mentoring of Cadet Designers and Drafters
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes
You'll be trusted to manage your workload, contribute ideas, and take pride in delivering high-quality work that supports Queensland communities and infrastructure.
About You




You are a motivated Civil Designer who combines strong technical skills with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
Approximately
3+ years' experience
in civil design and drafting
Strong working knowledge of
AutoCAD
and
12d Model
Sound understanding of engineering design principles, industry standards, and approval processes
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Experience working with local government authorities and regulatory agencies
Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
