G & B Stainless Pty Ltd is a long-established Brisbane manufacturer specialising in custom stainless steel and mild steel fabrication, installation, and equipment for the food processing and architectural industries. Operating from our Crestmead workshop since ****, we design, manufacture and install process equipment, tanks, platforms, handrails, balustrades and custom fabrications for local and national clients.

THE ROLE
n
We are seeking a Senior Fabricator / Tradesperson to join our workshop team. This is a hands-on senior role for a qualified tradesperson who can take a job from drawing through to finished product, work independently to a high standard, and help set the pace and quality on the shop floor.

You will work across stainless and mild steel fabrication for food-grade process equipment and architectural steelwork.

KEY DUTIES
n
n
Read and interpret workshop drawings and job specs, plan and execute the work.
n
Fabricate, assemble and finish stainless steel and mild steel projects.
n
Weld to a high standard using TIG and MIG (stainless and carbon steel), including hygienic / food-grade welds where required.
n
Work with the workshop reporting to the Operations Manager / Leading Hand
n
Communication and ability to work within a team to sequence jobs and meet delivery dates.
n
Follow WHS procedures,



workshop standards and quality checks on every job.
n
Occasionally assist with site installations Australia wide.
n

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
n
n
Trade qualification - Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (or equivalent Boilermaker / Sheetmetal / Welder-fabricator trade).
n
Proven senior-level workshop experience in stainless steel fabrication (ideally 5+ years post-trade).
n
Strong hygienic TIG and Mig welding skills.
n
Ability to work from drawings with minimal supervision and produce accurate, well-finished work.
n
Sound knowledge of workshop equipment and machinery
n
Current White Card (CPCWHS****) and right to work in Australia.
n
Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious and able to work as part of a rapid-paced workshop team.
n

Highly regarded
n
n
Food processing / hygienic stainless experience (conveyors, process equipment, platforms ect..).
n
Structural welding, purge welding or coded weld tickets and advantage.
n
Forklift, Scissor and EWP license an advantage
n
n
