Job Description
This part-time role is a great prospect for an experienced Conveyancer looking for genuine flexibility, four days a week within school hours, without stepping away from meaningful, wide-ranging work. You will manage your own file load with autonomy, while working closely alongside and providing administrative support to our Property Lawyer and Conveyancer in a collaborative, supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

Running your own file load of conveyancing matters from instruction through to settlement
n
Opening files
n
Preparing cost agreements and initial letters
n
Setting up PEXA and Duties Online
n
Preparing for settlements
n
Supporting our Property Lawyer with file preparation, correspondence and settlement coordination
n
Supporting another Conveyancer within the team on shared and overflow matters
n
Preparing and reviewing contracts of sale, section 32 vendor statements and related transfer documents
n
Conducting title searches and property enquiries
n
Managing PEXA settlements and liaising with banks, agents and other parties to the transaction
n

About you




n
n
Two or more years' experience working as a Conveyancer within a law firm
n
Strong working knowledge of Victorian conveyancing practice and relevant legislation
n
Experience using PEXA and practice management software (Smokeball experience highly regarded)
n
Excellent attention to detail and file management skills
n
Solid written and verbal communication skills
n
A cooperative approach, balanced with confidence to work independently
n
