Project Engineer – Cranes & Heavy Lift Design
BMS Heavy Cranes Australia – Melbourne VIC
Reporting to the Lead Project Engineer, you will be a key member of a small but high performing engineering team supporting Australia, Asia and New Zealand, working closely with the Global Engineering Department in Denmark.
The role is based out of the Australian Head Office in Melbourne, Victoria, and requires a team player with the flexibility and willingness to perform a wide range of tasks undertaken by the engineering team.
Key responsibilities
Thoroughly assess crane capabilities using drawings and OEM software to provide solutions throughout the project life cycle from sales to execution
Develop hardstand layouts and civil designs for windfarms to ensure suitability to cranes and provide clients with effective solutions
Create Lift Study packages for heavy lifts
Complete administrative tasks as required
About you
Minimum 2-3 years of project delivery experience
High proficiency in AutoCAD 2D




3D skills preferred but not essential
Knowledge of transport, logistics and heavy machinery preferable
High attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Solid time management skills with an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Passionate and excited to learn about cranes and continuously develop this knowledge
