Australian Athletics (AA) is the national governing body for our sport leading everything from grassroots participation to Olympic and Paralympic high performance, coaching, officiating, para-athletics, and international competition.

With Brisbance **** on the horizon, we're building something big and we need someone to build the coaches behind it.

The Role

You'll lead and develop our Performance Coach Developers, partner with the AIS Performance Coaching program, and drive the Event Group Panels that shape technical and tactical excellence across every event.

In this role, you will:

Equip Able Boady and Para coaches with the skills, resources, and support to perform at their best

Strengthen ties with the AIS to accelerate coach development nationally

technica Lead Event Group Panels to sharpen each group's techincal and tactical model

Bring a coach's-eye view to High Performance projects across the organisation

Hunt down world-leading innovations and bring them home to Australian coaches and athletes

Who We're After

A natural leader. A sharp communicator. Someone who gets inside a coach's head, how they think, what they need, what keeps them up at night, and builds the systems to help them win.

You'll ideally bring:

International-level High Performance coaching experience, and a real understanding of what it takes to win on the world stage

A track record of leading people to deliver under pressure in an environment that rarely goes to plan





Composure when things get chaotic: tight deadlines, competing priorities, curveballs

Sharp organisational skills and the ability to juggle without dropping the ball

Excellent stakeholder and relationship-building skills

A genuine commitment to clean sport and AA's National Integrity Framework (Anti-Doping Policy, Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct)

A current (or ability to obtain) police check, Working with Children Check and driver's licence
