Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, technically fluent Digital Product Manager to lead the evolution of our industry-critical digital assurance platform.
n
This is a unique opportunity to own a mature, widely used digital product that enables primary producers and industry stakeholders across Australia to demonstrate compliance with rigorous food safety, welfare, and environmental management standards.
n
As the product enters a major transformation phase, including a scheduled re-platforming and deeper integration across core data systems, you will balance operational continuity for existing users with strategic modernisations.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Vision & Strategy: Formulate and communicate the 12-month product vision, co-creating quarterly OKRs and maintaining a outcome-focused roadmap aligned with broader organizational goals.
n
Continuous Discovery: Lead discovery sprints and commission UX/market research to deeply understand user needs, synthesising insights to continuously improve user effort metrics and platform adoption.
n
Technical Collaboration & Re-platforming: Work closely with Enterprise Architects, Data Leads, and Engineering teams to evaluate platform architecture, manage API/data integration constraints, and lead technical re-platforming initiatives.
n
Backlog & Delivery Management: Prioritise and manage an outcome-linked backlog in Jira. Define user stories, review acceptance criteria, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and control scope during active delivery sprints.
n
Governance & Prioritisation: Serve as the central prioritisation gatekeeper, managing intake transparently, communicating trade-offs to internal and external stakeholders, and driving release readiness.
n
Product Measurement: Monitor post-release production metrics, maintain operational reporting, and close the hypothesis-to-outcome loop using data-driven insights.
n
