Job Description
The successful applicant will be responsible for the manufacture and upholstery of a range of commercial and custom-made furniture products. The role involves working from specifications and drawings and producing finished products to a consistently high standard.

Key responsibilities

Cutting, sewing and fitting upholstery fabrics and materials
n
Upholstering chairs, lounges, panels and other furniture
n
Preparing and fitting foam, padding and fabrics
n
Reading and working from drawings, specifications and job instructions
n
Ensuring upholstery work meets required quality and finish standards
n
Carrying out repairs, modifications and finishing work where required
n
Working efficiently to production schedules and deadlines
n
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
n
Working collaboratively with other members of the production team

About you
n
n
Relevant experience as an upholsterer
n
Demonstrated experience in commercial or furniture upholstery
n
Valuable knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials and tools
n
Ability to work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision
n
Ability to interpret drawings and production instructions
n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
n
Ability to work as part of a production team
n
Relevant qualifications or trade experience will be highly regarded
n
