We are looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team on a full time permanent basis.

About the role
n
As a Metal Fabricator with No Limit Group, you will be involved in fabrication and construction-related work, producing quality steel and metal components to project requirements. You'll work alongside our experienced construction and trades teams, contributing to projects across the Canberra region.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
n
Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
n




Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
n
Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
n
Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
n
Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
n
Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
n
Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions
n
Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding
n
n
About you
n
n
Demonstrated experience as a Metal Fabricator or in a relevant field (2 years)
n
You must hold mandatory industry licenses for work in the ACT (White Card, Asbestos Awareness and Silica Awareness Cards)
n
Ability to read and work from technical drawings
n
Good understanding of steel and metal fabrication processes
n
Strong attention to detail
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
A strong commitment to safety and quality
n
Reliable and professional attitude
n
