Job Description
Located in Gateshead,Lake Macquarie Private Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated Food Services Assistant to join our professional catering team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to patients while strictly adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Working closely with nursing and kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by providing exceptional, friendly customer service. This position offers a rewarding prospect to contribute to patient care and recovery within a supportive, modern Ramsay Health Care facility.

This role will involve:
n
n
Preparing and delivering high standard, nutritious food and drinks for private hospital patients and doctors.
n
Maintaining food hygiene, a clean working area and safety practices.
n
Assisting the broader team as required.
n
Availability across a 7-day roster, including morning and afternoon shifts.
n
n
Your Skills and Experiences
n
The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will also be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.

n
Previous experience in a prep kitchen or hospital environment but not essential.
n
Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
n
Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
n
Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace,



Health and Safety
n
Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable).
n
