The role contributes to the development and implementation of the school's vision, strategic priorities and improvement agenda, with a particular focus on high-quality teaching, learning and student outcomes across the Arts and Technologies.

Key responsibilities
The role supports teachers to develop engaging, contemporary and differentiated programs that respond to the diverse needs, interests and aspirations of KBCHS students.
The Head of Learning Area is responsible for fostering a culture of collaboration, qualified growth and continuous improvement, including leading moderation, analysing student achievement and engagement data, supporting effective assessment practices and identifying skilled learning priorities.




The role also includes appropriate performance management and support to ensure high standards of teaching and learning are maintained.
A key component of the role is to lead innovation and manage change within the Learning Area, identifying opportunities to strengthen curriculum provision, increase student engagement and broaden pathways and experiences across the Arts and Technologies.

What you need
hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
