The Mine site:

Located in the New England region of NSW, this historic underground mining operation is entering an exciting new chapter of development, offering the opportunity to join a long-life project from the early stages of its growth. The operation offers:

7:7 lifestyle roster rotating days and nights with 12-hour shifts

The Role:
n
You will join an experienced underground production team responsible for safely charging production stopes within a modern hard rock mining operation. As a Charge Up Operator, you will operate Normet charge rigs while working closely with production and engineering crews to prepare stopes for safe and efficient blasting. Your duties will include:
n
n
Operating Normet Charge rigs to safely charge production stopes using JOHNEX explosives
n
Charging longhole production rings in accordance with blast designs and site procedures
n
Conducting pre-start inspections and reporting equipment defects or maintenance requirements
n
Handling and using explosives in accordance with site procedures and legislative requirements
n




Working to production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality
n
Collaborating with engineers, supervisors and underground crews to ensure efficient blasting activities
n
Maintaining accurate blast records and completing required shift documentation
n
n
Your Skills and Experience:
n
You will come from a background working as a Charge Up Operator within the underground hard rock mining industry. You will also have the following skills and experience:
n
n
Current NSW Blast User's Explosives Licence (BUEL) - essential
n
Unrestricted driver's licence (ability to drive manual vehicles)
n
Experience working with JOHNEX or similar emulsion explosive systems (desirable, not essential)
n
Highly reliable, punctual and trustworthy
n
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
n
Ability to obtain a current National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical
n
n
Contract and Salary:
n
Marble is partnered with this underground mining principle to supply casual contractors to the site for an immediate start. The opportunity exists to join the company on an initial 3-month contract through Marble with likely extension to 6 months. After this initial 6-month period, there is the potential to hand over to the principles books directly as a permanent employee although It's not guaranteed)

Casual rates between $65ph - $75ph + super
n
Weekly pay cycles whilst working through Marble
