Details of the role
The Administrator supports the day-to-day operations of The Kirby Institute through the provision of general administrative support.
The administrator will act as a key point of contact for stakeholders and provide high-quality support for communications, meetings, events and finance processes. The role also plays an important part in welcoming new staff and visitors, coordinating building access and site inductions, and creating a positive experience for a diverse range of stakeholders. This role is suited to a proactive and organised qualified with strong customer service, communication and coordination skills who enjoys engaging with people and building effective working relationships.
The role reports to the Senior Administrative Officer.
Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
Advanced time management, organisational and problem-solving skills,



including the ability to meet deadlines.
Well-developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining effective channels of communication, analysing requests and correspondence to prioritise as well as urgent and often sensitive matters.
Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to make sound judgements and work both independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated experience supporting and contributing to projects and initiatives.
Experience with content management systems desirable.
