Job Description

Managing a portfolio of outstanding customer accounts.
n
Contacting customers by phone and email to follow up overdue payments.
n
Working with customers to understand their circumstances and agree on appropriate payment solutions.
n
Setting up and monitoring payment arrangements.
n
Investigating account discrepancies and resolving billing or payment queries.
n
Allocating and reconciling payments where required.
n
Maintaining accurate notes and records of collection activity.
n
Escalating complex or significantly overdue accounts when appropriate.
n
Working closely with finance and other internal teams to resolve customer account issues.
n
Supporting aged debt reporting and helping the team meet collection targets.
n
Providing a professional, respectful and customer-focused experience throughout the collections process.
n

Previous experience in collections, credit control, accounts receivable or a similar role.
n
Confidence managing a portfolio of outstanding accounts.
n
Robust customer service and communication skills.
n
The ability to have sensitive or challenging conversations professionally.
n
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate account discrepancies.
n
Strong attention to detail and confidence working with financial information.
n
The ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on outstanding matters.
n
A collaborative approach and willingness to help the wider team.
n
