Diggermate Canberra is looking for a reliable and hands-on Workshop Hand to join our growing team. We specialise in mini excavator hire and pride ourselves on providing well-maintained equipment and great customer service.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with machinery and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.

About the Role
n
You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our workshop, including:
n

Maintenance and servicing of mini excavators and attachments
n
Preparing equipment for hire (cleaning, checking, basic repairs)
n
Assisting with machine operation and yard organisation
n
Light metal fabrication and basic welding tasks
n
Complete operator wet hire work as required.
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Experience in machine operation and maintenance (essential)
n
Basic metal fabrication / welding skills
n
Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving ability
n
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
n
Physically fit and comfortable in a hands-on environment
n
Valid driver's licence (essential)
n
n
Work Conditions

Early morning starts required
n
Occasional weekend work as needed
n
Full time / casual position (flexible depending on candidate)
