PKCT was established to provide safe, reliable and cost effective bulk material handling services to enable its customers to maintain and/or improve market share in the international coal trade at minimum cost.
The Company's principal activities are coal handling, stockpiling and ship loading at Port Kembla Inner Harbour.
PKCT services mines in the southern and western NSW coal fields.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position based at Port Kembla Coal Terminal in the coastal city of Wollongong, NSW, approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Sydney.
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Trade to:
Work to a high standard and actively engage in the PKCT safe systems of work
Work with and maintain conveying systems, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes and hoisting systems
Investigate and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns
Communicate and build relationships across work groups
This position is a role within the Day Work Maintenance team, with an chance to support shift roles as required.

you will be a reliable team player with a positive attitude, sound work ethic and the ability to work safely and effectively in a production-focused environment.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade and/or equivalent (must)
Experience working in medium to heavy industry
High Risk Work Licence in Dogging
Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or the ability to obtain
Strong commitment to safety and hazard awareness
