Job Description
We are recruiting an experienced and customer-focused Waiter / Food & Beverage Attendant to join Overlander Indian Restaurant, an established Indian restaurant located in Orange, NSW, on a full-time basis.

Key responsibilities

Greeting customers and presenting menus and beverage lists
n
Taking food and beverage orders accurately and communicating orders to kitchen staff
n
Serving meals and beverages professionally and efficiently
n
Setting, arranging and preparing tables before and during service
n
Providing customers with information about menu items, ingredients and available food and beverage options
n
Assisting customers with menu selections and making appropriate food and beverage recommendations
n
Opening and serving bottled beverages and pouring drinks where required
n
Monitoring tables throughout service and responding promptly to customer requirements
n
Processing customer payments and operating POS systems and cash registers
n
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness,



presentation and customer service throughout the dining area

About You
n
n
Relevant hospitality qualifications such as an AQF Certificate II or Certificate III, or equivalent relevant industry experience
n
At least one year of relevant experience as a Waiter / Food & Beverage Attendant
n
Previous experience working in a busy restaurant environment
n
Robust customer service and interpersonal skills
n
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
n
Ability to manage multiple tables and customer requests during busy service periods
n
Experience using restaurant POS and payment systems
n
Good knowledge of food service procedures and restaurant hygiene requirements
n
Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays in accordance with the restaurant roster
