We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Instrumental Music Teacher to deliver high quality classes to our students. This is a fixed term FTE 0.4 role for the **** school year, with the potential for the position to become ongoing. Although experience working in a primary school setting would be highly regarded graduates and early career teachers are warmly encouraged to apply. Applicants must hold current VIT registration or be eligible to obtain Permission to Teach (PTT) through VIT. Thursday is required, but the second day is flexible and can be Monday, Tuesday or Friday.

Responsibilities and Criteriainclude to:





● Teach a range of musical instruments in weekly lessons including drums, keyboard, guitar, ukelele and percussion to Year P-2
Teach additional weekly drum, keyboard or guitar lessons in small groups sessions

● Drive and coordinate musical performances for children, at school and around community
Work with the Performing Arts team to develop and produce our bi-annual School production

● Possess the skills and abilities necessary to engage and empower students with a rich, rewarding music experiences
● Create, build and embrace a positive collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning.
● Demonstrate the development of positive partnerships with parents and the wider community.
● Participate in various school organised events as required
● Writing formal academic reports that conform to report writing guidelines
● Monitor the progress of each student and provide meaningful and regular feedback to each student on their progress
● Demonstrating competency with digital technologies.
