We are thrilled to be working with an entertainment company that's expanding and looking to go global. This prominent touring and events company pioneers Melbourne's music scene like no other.
Known for producing large-scale live events around the country, the Melbourne-based team now seeks an experienced sales leader with a solid network of contacts and proven experience in live music, events, or entertainment.
The successful Sales Manager will primarily be responsible for increasing the overall sales performance and relationships of this growing organisation, developing new revenue opportunities, and managing and improving the performance of the existing sales team.
Supporting the co-founders, you will manage and mentor a team of three sales execs, with the responsibility for expanding and growing the team as this organisation continues to scale. You will take full ownership of this company's sales strategy, team performance, sales process, and recent growth opportunities!
The Opportunity:
Support the co-founders and lead an existing sales team
Increase ticket and event sales across various digital channels (paid and organic)
Work closely with the founders to identify opportunities to improve ticket sales, customer conversion, lead generation, and overall revenue
Implement team and individual sales targets and actively monitor
Improve individual sales performance through coaching, strategy, and structured performance management
Test and implement new sales channels and possible revenue opportunities
Review sales data and customer behaviour to identify trends, weaknesses and opportunities
Develop and implement sales initiatives designed to improve conversion rates and customer acquisition
Manage sales team behaviour, professionalism, productivity and accountability
Manage team time effectively and ensure the team remains focused on the highest-value sales opportunities
Build a positive, high-performance sales culture focused on results, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Improve team engagement and ensure sales staff remain motivated
Introduce and improve sales processes, scripts, follow-up systems, reporting structures, and customer management procedures
Monitor leads and sales pipelines to ensure opportunities are being followed up effectively
Proactively identify underperforming areas and implement strategies to improve performance
Assist with the recruitment, onboarding and development of additional sales staff as the department expands
You:
Live in Melbourne and have full working rights
Describe yourself as a relationship builder
Have a minimum of 4+ years' experience in a sales-focused role
Proven experience managing a sales team/juniors
A proven local network of contacts and clients
Possess a good knowledge of local entertainment brands
Have experience working in high-performing teams
Possess advanced reporting and analytical skills
Have exceptional attention to detail
Are a proactive problem solver
Have strong time and project management skills
Most importantly, have a true passion for what you do!
