You'll own the performance of a portfolio of product ranges end to end: what we sell, how it's priced and how it's brought to market. This is a marketing and commercial role with a technical edge — you'll be as comfortable reviewing margin and stock data as you are talking through load ratings with a supplier or a customer. You'll work closely with sales, marketing, purchasing and the warehouse, and report to the Head of Marketing.
Key responsibilities
Act as the gate between R&D;, Marketing and Sales for product information
Own range strategy for categories — identify gaps, rationalise underperformers, and bring new products to market
Set and review pricing to hit margin and volume targets, and monitor competitor positioning
Analyse sales, margin and stock data to guide buying and range decisions
Run product launches — specs, imagery, product data, pricing, sales enablement, marketing collateral and provide initial inventory and sales forecasts
Own the accuracy of product content and images across our ERP, website, catalogues and collateral
Support the sales team as the technical authority on product, including complex customer enquiries
Work with Purchasing on forecasting and inventory levels to balance availability against holding cost
Keep on top of relevant compliance, safety standards and external factors which could influence demand
Extract the features and benefits of products and work with Marketing to deliver the key messages
About you




3-5+ years' experience in product management, category management or product marketing, ideally in industrial, trade or B2B distribution
Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in lieu
Commercial fluency — you understand margin, landed cost and the levers that move both
Strong analytical skills and confidence working in Excel and ERP or inventory systems
A practical, technical mindset — you can read a spec sheet and ask the right questions
Clear communication and the ability to influence across sales, marketing, R&D; and operations
Self-starter who can run their own projects without close supervision
