Position Purpose
n
The Ladder Sales & Inspection Technician is responsible for inspecting, servicing, repairing, and reporting on ladders and access equipment. The role also involves assisting customers, preparing quotations, conducting on-site inspections, and supporting various areas of the business including warehousing, sales and showroom operations.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service
n

Provide professional advice regarding ladder servicing and compliance requirements.
n
Assist customers with repair, maintenance, and accessory enquiries.
n
Prepare repair estimates and quotations using company systems.
n
Inspect, service, and repair ladders, platforms, and access equipment.
n
Diagnose faults and recommend repair solutions.
n
Maintain high-quality workmanship and compliance standards.
n
Operate power tools safely and effectively.
n

Inspections & Reporting
n
n
Conduct ladder and access equipment inspections at customer sites.
n
Complete inspection reports and compliance documentation.
n
Perform measurements and prepare quotations for repair or replacement work.
n
Travel (occasionally overnight) within Victoria and interstate to conduct inspections and audits.
n

Workshop & Operational Support
n
n
Assist with warehouse and stock management activities.
n
Support showroom operations.
n
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
n
Work collaboratively with team members across all areas of the business.
n

Sales & Business Development
n
n
Assist customers in selecting suitable ladders, platforms, and access solutions.
n
Identify opportunities to upsell accessories, repairs, inspections, and replacement equipment.
n
Prepare quotations and follow up on sales opportunities.
n
Support showroom sales and customer enquiries.
n
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
n
Contribute to the growth of the inspection and repair division.
n
Assist with on-site measuring, quoting, and recommending solutions for customer requirements.

Skills & Experience

Solid mechanical aptitude.

Proficiency with a range of hand and power tools

Basic computer skills for quotations and reporting.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
