About the role
As a Disability Support Worker with CVSS, you may provide support including personal care and daily living assistance, community access and social participation, transport to appointments, activities and community events, and meal preparation and household assistance. You will support participants to work towards their individual goals, promote independence, choice and dignity of risk, provide companionship and meaningful engagement, complete accurate shift notes and required documentation, and follow individual support plans, policies and NDIS requirements.
Key responsibilities

Completing accurate shift notes and required documentation

About you




Passionate about supporting people with disability to live meaningful and fulfilling lives
Experience supporting participants with complex support needs, personal care, and challenging situations
Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
Communicate effectively and build positive relationships with participants, families, and colleagues
Remain calm under pressure and can adapt to changing situations
Genuinely care about delivering high-quality support and achieving positive outcomes for participants
Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

What You'll Need
Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker




Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
Smartphone with access to email and apps
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Availability to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Highly Regarded
Experience with hoisting and manual handling
Medication assistance competency
Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Mental Health, or similar
Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disability, autism, intellectual disability, or complex physical support needs
