Casual | 2 days per week | Byron Bay
n
We're looking for a commercially minded Social Media & Performance Content Manager to work across our two e-commerce brands, Byron Bay Gifts and Loyal Crush.
n
This isn't a role that's simply about keeping the Instagram feed looking good. We're looking for someone who understands what makes people stop, click and buy — and knows how to turn great content into commercial results.
n
You'll work closely with our Marketing Manager to develop, test and refine creative based on actual performance. You'll have access to a substantial library of professional photography and video, regular new content shoots, established brands to work with, and plenty of scope to develop and test your own creative ideas.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Turn existing photography and video into engaging Meta ads, reels and social content
n
Develop and test different hooks, angles, copy and creative variations
n
Navigate Meta Ads Manager confidently and understand key campaign and creative metrics
n
Review performance and clearly report what's working, what isn't and what we should test next
n
Work closely with our Marketing Manager on campaigns, promotions and creative strategy
n
Create original photo and video content for social and paid campaigns, including filming and editing short-form content
n
Manage organic social media content, scheduling and day-to-day activity
n
Create and send email newsletters and promotional campaigns
n
Develop content around new products, launches, seasonal campaigns and brand stories
n
Use AI tools to work faster and smarter across ideation, copy, creative development, editing and content repurposing
n
Keep across emerging social, creative and e-commerce trends,
identifying ideas and formats worth testing across our brands
n
n
About you
n
n
You have experience in social media, digital marketing or performance content, ideally within e-commerce
n
You understand the difference between content that looks valuable and content that performs — ideally, you can do both
n
You have hands‐on experience with Meta Ads Manager and understand metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA and ROAS
n
You can identify a strong hook and turn one piece of content into multiple creative concepts
n
You're comfortable looking at data and using it to decide what content to create next
n
You're confident filming and editing short-form video and creating polished social assets
n
You can write concise, persuasive copy
n
You're comfortable and confident using AI tools as part of your everyday workflow
n
You're proactive and commercially curious — you don't wait to be told what content to create and are comfortable bringing new ideas, testing them and learning from the results
n
You're organised and able to manage a content calendar and multiple campaigns
n
n
Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, Canva and CapCut or similar editing tools would be highly regarded.
n
The role
n
This is a casual, 2-day-per-week role based in Byron Bay, initially through the busy Christmas period, with the potential to become ongoing for the right person.
n
It's an opportunity to work across two established but very different e-commerce brands, with the freedom to experiment, test ideas and see the commercial impact of your work.
n
Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
