Carpentry Apprentice, Residential Construction

Looking to start a carpentry apprenticeship or continue your training with a great local team?
n
Coastal Patios is looking for a reliable and motivated Carpentry Apprentice to join our experienced building team on the Sunshine Coast.
n
This is a full time position offering a four-day working week, Monday to Thursday. You'll receive hands-on training while working alongside experienced lead builders across a variety of outdoor construction projects.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Assisting lead builders with the construction of patios, decks, carports and outdoor living areas
n
Learning to safely use and maintain the tools and equipment required for the role
n
Gradually building your own apprentice tool kit
n
Digging footings and assisting with concrete work
n
Developing practical building skills appropriate to your apprenticeship year
n
Loading, unloading and moving building materials
n
Towing a work trailer when required
n
Climbing ladders and working safely at heights
n
Supporting the building crew and helping keep each project moving efficiently
n
Keeping worksites clean, safe and organised
n
n
This is a physically active outdoor role that involves lifting and moving 20 kg bags of concrete and safely lifting materials weighing approximately ***** kg above head height.

About you

We're looking for someone who:

Holds a current driver's licence and has a reliable vehicle are essential for this position
n
Is reliable, punctual and physically fit
n
Has a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to work and learn
n
Takes pride in their work and can follow instructions
n
Works well as part of a team
n
Holds a current driver's licence
n
Has reliable transport
n
Holds, or is willing to obtain, a White Card (CPCWHS****) before commencing
n
n
Previous building experience is welcome but not essential. The right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are what matter most.
