Kingsgrove day hospital is a well-established Day Surgery located in Kingsgrove and are looking for Full time Registered Nurses .

About the role

Recovery Nurse
n
Full time work
n
Work across different specialties including Gynae, Plastics, Foot and ankle surgery, and Dental,
n
Conduct nursing practice within an ethical framework,
n
Admitting the patient and taking the care from pre surgery assessment , to post surgery care , to discharge home,
n
Vital Sign Monitoring: Track heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and temperature as the patient wakes up.
n
Airway Management: Keep the patient's airway clear and provide oxygen therapy.
n
Pain and Nausea Control: Give prescribed pain relief medications and treat post-operative nausea or vomiting.
n
Wound and Tube Care: Check surgical dressings, intravenous (IV) lines, and drainage tubes for issues.
n
Emergency Response:



Spot signs of complications or crashing vitals and act rapid to fix them.
n
Patient Education: Explain discharge instructions and recovery steps to patients and their families.
n
Team Communication: Share updates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and management
n
What we are looking for
n
Current AHPRA registration
n
Minimum 18 month to 2 years clinical experience
n
Day surgery recovery nursing experience required
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Ability to work both independently and in a team
n
