Placed.au is looking for a full-time Senior Advisor, Recruitment & People for our client in Bentleigh, Victoria. This role is responsible for supporting recruitment and talent acquisition, employee onboarding and offboarding, workforce strategy, HR-related projects, and employee experience initiatives. The position provides specialist advice across the organisation while contributing to continuous improvement, capability development, and a positive workplace culture.

Manage the end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition lifecycle using best-practice recruitment processes and sound judgement.
n
Maintain strong knowledge of the industry and connect with relevant talent to ensure the organisation remains competitive in the candidate market.
n
Develop and maintain talent pools for current, future, and upcoming vacancies.
n
Conduct recruitment briefings with Hiring Managers and manage job advertisements and candidate lifecycles through online recruitment platforms.
n
Manage candidates, including phone screening, shortlisting, responding to candidate enquiries, and providing timely application updates.
n
Liaise with external recruitment agencies where appropriate to support external placements or locum requirements.
n
Assist with workforce strategy, HR management projects, and process improvement initiatives.
n
Champion the new employee experience by coordinating onboarding activities, including starter requests, employment contracts, contract variations, and other people-related requirements.

Organise pre-employment checks, including police checks, Working with Children Checks, professional registrations, and qualification verification.
n
Accurately onboard new employees through HRIS and learning management systems, including processing employment conditions and reporting-line changes.
n




Contact recent starters at commencement to support their orientation and ensure their personnel information is accurate and up to date.

Process offboarding requests accurately and promptly, reviewing results and translating them into actionable outcomes.
n
Respond to employee and manager enquiries and refer matters to relevant parties where required.
n
Support equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives and help safeguard people against discriminatory or stigmatising behaviour.
n
Provide coaching and mentoring to people leaders to enhance HR capability and promote continuous improvement.
n
Work collaboratively with internal teams, managers, employees, recruitment providers, HR vendors, and other external stakeholders.

Qualifications / Attributes
n
n
Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
n
Must possess at least five (5) years of relevant work experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR, or a related field.
n
Proven experience operating within large and complex working environments, particularly in recruitment and talent acquisition.
n
Advanced computer literacy skills, particularly with recruitment management platforms and HRIS.
n
Strong knowledge of recruitment processes, candidate management, onboarding, employee lifecycle activities, and HR practices.
n
Demonstrated ability to develop innovative sourcing strategies and support workforce planning aligned with organisational goals.
n
Ability to meet and exceed recruitment targets and KPIs while contributing to team capability and continuous improvement.
n
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide specialist advice across various levels of an organisation.
n
Ability to coach and mentor people leaders to enhance their capability in HR practices.
n
Prior experience working with HRIS platforms such as Employment Hero, ELMO, or equivalent systems is desirable.
n

Salary Range $100,000 – $120,000 per annum excluding superannuation.
