ABOUT THE ROLE
n
As a Registered Nurse/Midwife in Special Care Nursery, your responsibilities will be to:
n
n
Providing quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual patient and newborn care;
n
Providing a standard of care appropriate to the individual's level of experience and education, while maintaining high-quality nursing care within a safe environment;
n
Developing and utilising strategies that promote an workplace conducive to effective communication;
n
Working in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding the provision of care and promoting positive therapeutic relationships;
n
Supporting other wards across the hospital when required.
n

REQUIREMENTS
n

Current registration with AHPRA;
n
Clinical skills and motivation to ensure excellence in patient care and customer service;
n
A minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in Neonatal Intensive Care or Special Care; Nursery/Newborn Postnatal care;
n
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
n
Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
n
Excellent communication and customer service skills;
n
Works well independently and within a team.
n
Current registration with AHPRA;

REMUNERATION
n
A salary ranging from $*****-$*****per hour.

ABOUT THE FACILITY
n
The hospital is located in Western Sydney and provides acute Medical, Surgical, Maternity, and Critical Care services. The Women's Health Unit comprises 4 delivery suites with K2 monitoring, a 5-bed Level 2 Special Care Nursery, and a 26-bed antenatal, postnatal, and gynaecology ward. Thehighly skilled midwifery and obstetrics team works closely with parents to ensure the best start in life for their babies.
