About the role
n
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of civil infrastructure projects across Sydney.
n
Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Managers and Supervisors, you will coordinate engineering requirements, procurement, programme, costs and quality across multiple work fronts.
n
This role suits someone who can take ownership of project packages, resolve technical issues and keep site activities progressing.
n
Key responsibilities
n

Plan and coordinate construction activities, staging and short-term programmes.
n
Review drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies and coordinate technical solutions.
n
Manage procurement, subcontractor scopes, supplier deliveries and progress claims.
n
Track project costs, quantities and forecasts, and report on budget performance.
n
Prepare and assess variations and support contractual notices, claims and extensions of time.
n
Coordinate with site teams, surveyors, consultants, clients and relevant authorities.
n
Prepare and maintain RFIs,



inspection and test plans, quality records and project reports.
n
Coordinate inspections, testing and close-out of defects and non-conformances.
n
Support site safety and environmental requirements.
n
Assist with as-built documentation and project handover.
n

About you
n
n
A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
n
Proven Project Engineer experience delivering civil construction projects in Australia.
n
Experience in roads, drainage, utilities or similar civil infrastructure.
n
Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction requirements.
n
Practical understanding of procurement, cost control, variations and contract administration.
n
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing site priorities.
n
Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with site teams.
n
Experience on TfNSW or local council projects will be highly regarded.
