About the opportunity
n
This is your prospect to step into a dynamic ecology role with real
variety,responsibilityand
impact.
n
This role can be based anywhere in Queensland, with Townsville or Rockhampton preferable.
n
You'll work across a diverse portfolio of projects, with a balanced mix of field and office work (approximately *****). From local surveys through to drive-in field programs and fly-in/fly-out projects, no two weeks look the same.
n
In this role, you will
n
n
Lead ecological projects frominitialscope and client engagement through to delivery
n




Plan,coordinateand deliver multi-disciplinary fauna and flora field surveys
n
Manage project
timelines,budgetsand
outcomes with a strong commercial focus
n
Apply your knowledge of environmental legislation to support approvals and compliance
n
Build andmaintainstrong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
n
Prepare high-quality technical reports,
impactassessmentsand
approvals documentation
n
n
You'll be part of a collaborative, experienced team, with the autonomy to take ownership of your projects while being supported in your ongoing development.
n
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working across both field and consulting environments, thrives on variety, and is motivated to deliver high-quality environmental outcomes.

You'rea practical, motivated ecologist who enjoys both fieldwork and consulting, and is ready to take the next step in your career.

You will bring
n
n
A Bachelor of Environmental Science, Applied Science or Marine Science.
n
3+ years' experience delivering fauna and/or flora surveys in QLD (Brigalow Belt experience highly regarded)
n
Strong understanding of relevant Commonwealth and State environmental legislation
n




Experience designing and delivering surveys within threatened species and ecological communities
n
Confidence preparing ecological reports and supporting approvals processes
n
Exposure to consulting environments, ora strong desireto build project management capability
n
n
You will be

Comfortable working across both field and office environments

Proactive,organisedand
able to manage competing priorities
n
Confident engaging with clients and working as part of a team
n
Willing to travel and undertake fieldwork asrequired
