About the role
n
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering tax, compliance and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of SME and individual clients. You will work closely with clients, identify opportunities to add value, and support the development of team members.
n
What you'll be doing
n
n
Tax structuring, small business concessions, superannuation, GST, CGT and FBT advice, jurisdictional tax matters
n
Current knowledge and experience of various entity structures and the tax implications of each
n
Ability to prepare and review a range of financial statements and income tax returns for clients including individuals, trusts, partnerships, companies
n
Prepare comprehensive working papers consistent with standard operating procedures
n
Review business activity statements completed by other team members
n




Research and resolve various taxation issues associated with client work
n
Understand income tax and experience developing multiple scenarios for tax planning purposes
n
Contribution to the growth of the firm's client base
n
Completing engagements within budget and time frames to a high standard
n
Engage with clients and build strong working relationships
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Australian Public Practice accounting experience
n
2-10 years' experience in a Senior Accountant position
n
Strong technical taxation and business advisory knowledge
n
Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns across various entity structures
n
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
n
Robust time management and organisational abilities
n
A proactive, solutions-focused approach
n
Experience using Xero, Xero Tax, Microsoft Excel and cloud accounting solutions
n
CA, CPA or IPA membership (or working towards) will be highly regarded but is not essential
n
