We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the maintenance team at a well-established food manufacturing facility based in Dandenong.
n
This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically minded tradesperson who enjoys working in a fast-paced production workplace and wants genuine work-life balance through a rotating day and night shift roster.
n
The Role
n Working as part of a highly experienced maintenance team, you will be responsible for keeping high-speed food manufacturing and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently.
n Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Preventative and reactive maintenance across production equipment
n
Mechanical fault finding and breakdown response
n
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
n
Maintenance of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors and processing equipment
n
Mechanical changeovers, adjustments and equipment optimisation
n
Completing maintenance records and using the site's CMMS
n
Working closely with the production and engineering teams
n
Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and food manufacturing standards
n

About You
n
We are looking for a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter who ideally has experience working within:
n
n
Food manufacturing
n
FMCG
n
Pharmaceutical manufacturing
n
Packaging
n
High-volume production environments
n
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent
n
Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter
n
Strong mechanical fault-finding ability
n
Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
n
Pneumatic and hydraulic experience
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
A strong safety-first mindset
n
Flexibility to work both day and night shifts
n
