Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentices to join one of our host employers in Homebush and surrounding areas, NSW.
n
You'll work alongside experienced technicians while completing your AUR***** Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, developing essential mechanical skills while gaining valuable exposure to electric vehicles, advanced diagnostics and modern automotive systems.
n
No previous automotive experience or Certificate II is required. If you're enthusiastic about cars, technology and learning a trade, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing
n
Working alongside qualified and experienced technicians, you'll learn how to:
n
n
Service and maintain electric and conventional light vehicles.
n
Carry out scheduled servicing and vehicle inspections.
n
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
n
Develop your knowledge of electric vehicle battery and high‐voltage systems under qualified supervision.
n
Assist with repairs and maintenance of braking, steering and suspension systems.
n
Use manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment and specialised workshop tools.
n
Identify faults and develop your diagnostic and problem‐solving skills.
n
Follow strict workplace and high‐voltage safety procedures.
n
Maintain a clean, organised and professional workshop workplace.
n
Support day‐to‐day workshop operations while developing your trade skills.
n

As your skills and confidence grow, you'll have the opportunity to take on more advanced servicing,
diagnostic and repair work under the guidance of experienced technicians.
