Community Support Worker - Central Coast

Just Better Care Central Coast are looking for Support Workers across the Central Coast to join our caring and dynamic team and provide high quality in-home support services to our valued customers.

For over 20 years, we have been supporting older people, and people living with disability, to live independently in their own homes and stay connected to their local community.
Our friendly, compassionate and experienced team makes this possible. As part of the Just Better Care Central Coast team, you will be supported by the local office team based in Gosford. Just Better Care Central Coast is locally family owned and operated and has been supporting the Coast for over 20 years!
Competitive and above award casual pay rates i.e. Monday-Friday 6am-8pm pay rates starting at between $*****-$***** per hour (Cert 3) and $*****-$***** (Non Cert), $1.10 per km (Transport Supporting Clients). Additional penalties/allowances also paid including some travel time and broken shifts. Possible opportunity to move to permanent part time employment in the future.
We are looking for staff with a Cert 3 and experience to complete all services listed below, we also have entry level roles available for Domestic Assistance Support Professionals to complete domestic assistance, transport and social support services for those current to the industry.




We are looking for team members across the Central Coast and Lake Macquarie from Patonga to Gwandalan. Ideally you are available in the morning or evening or both. Please contact us to find out more.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs, including use of manual handling equipment
Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
Provide updates on customer progress following each service
About you:
Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills
Ability to build rapport & good working relationships
Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback
Ideally you have availability early morning and/or evening.
What you will need:
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check
Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
Current First Aid certificate/CPR
Current Australian Drivers License
Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
Smart phone with internet access
Certificate III in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (preferred)
Previous employment experience in community care, disability care or health/aged care (preferred)
We also have entry level roles available for domestic assistance, transport and social support services for those new to the industry.
