Job Description
Slipstream Brewing Co. is looking for a full-time Sous Chef to join our team in Yeerongpilly, Brisbane. We're looking for an experienced chef ready to take on a key leadership role within our kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to lead the team and deliver consistent, high-quality food.

Our 300-seat Bar & Kitchen is the beating heart of our venue, with a menu of smoked meats, pizzas, and modern Australian dishes paired with award-winning craft beer. With indoor and outdoor dining, a kids' play area, and a buzzing atmosphere, we've created a space where great food and outstanding beer come together.

About the Role
n
Support the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations and service.
n
Ensure dishes are delivered consistently to specification and a high standard.
n
Help manage food costs, wastage, stock control and ordering.
n
Train, mentor and develop chefs and junior kitchen staff.
n
Uphold WHS, food safety and kitchen compliance standards at all times.
n
Step up to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence and help maintain a positive, efficient kitchen culture.
n
About You
n
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
n
Previous experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen.
n




Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
n
Enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate about good food, beer, and community.
n
Demonstrated leadership experience and a proven ability to train, develop and support kitchen teams.
n
Experience with an offset smoker and/or hand-stretched dough and stone or wood-fired pizza in a commercial setting is highly advantageous.
