About the Opportunity
n
As a Supervisor / Leading Hand, you will oversee and coordinate day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead teams of 3–20 employees, foster a positive and productive work environment, and act as a key link between site teams and project management.
n
You will be accountable for all WHS and quality requirements onsite, with regular reporting to the Project Manager.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead and supervise teams of 3–20 employees
n
Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to apprentices
n
Plan and manage projects to scope, schedule, budget, and resources
n
Directly supervise labour to maximise efficiency and team morale
n
Monitor project materials to ensure availability onsite when required
n




Manage and track variation requests, ensuring approvals are obtained prior to works commencing
n
Maintain clear communication and reporting to the Project Manager
n
Ensure daily site diaries are completed accurately
n
Report design changes or program variations to the Project Manager
n
Oversee maintenance and availability of plant and equipment
n
Ensure a strong safety culture and compliance with WH&S; requirements
n
Act as a mediator between management and site teams when required
n

Skills & Experience
n
n
Minimum 3 years' experience in communications, cabling, or electrical environments
n
Proven experience leading teams of 3–20 employees
n
Must have a minimum of 2+ years of team leadership experience
n
Experience working on Data Centre installations (projects and minor works)
n
Telecommunications trade experience
n
Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
n
Highly organised, self-motivated, and results driven
n
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
n
Demonstrated leadership and team-engaging capabilities
n
NV1 Clearance
n
n
What You'll Need
n
n
ACMA General Cabling Licence or Electrical Licence (preferred)
n
White Card – OH&S; General Induction for Construction Work (NSW)
n
Current, valid, unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
n
Must have Australian work rights
n
Ability to complete police check and pre-employment medical.
