Mars Recruitment are parterning with a leading service‐based organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager for an initial 4‐month contract, with possibility for extension. This role suits a commercially sharp procurement professional who can step in immediately and take ownership of end‐to‐end procurement across a diverse category portfolio, with a strong focus on contract negotiation.
Key Responsibilities:
Category planning that optimises cost, performance and risk
Manage contract negotiations and esnure approvals are managed correctly
Spend and market analysis to inform sourcing strategies
Lead RFI/RFP processes, tender evaluations and commercial negotiations
Formulate and manage contracts, schedules and supplier KPIs
Maintain preferred supplier registers and contract management systems
Champion P2P compliance, coach stakeholders and convert PRs to POs
Drive continuous improvement,



standardisation and procurement innovation
Build solid relationships across the organisation and lead cross‐functional delivery
Key Requirements:
5+ years' generalist procurement experience
Strong sourcing, negotiation and contract management capability
Ability to coach stakeholders and lead cross‐functional teams
Solid understanding of P2P processes and procurement systems
Commercial acumen, analytical strength and strategic thinking
