About the role
Hair Colosseum is seeking talented
Senior Hairstylists and Apprentices
to join our dynamic team at our Chatswood NSW location. This is a
full-time position
or part-time position offering the perfect opportunity to develop your skills in a thriving salon environment. As a Senior Hairstylist, you will lead by example, mentor junior staff, and deliver outstanding results to our valued clientele. Apprentices will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to build a strong foundation in hairdressing excellence.
Key responsibilities
Provide high-quality hairstyling services including cutting, colouring, and styling to a diverse client base
Mentor and support apprentices and junior stylists, sharing knowledge and best practices
Maintain exceptional standards of hygiene, safety, and salon presentation
Build and nurture long-term client relationships through professional service and consultation
Contribute to a positive team environment and support salon operations
Stay current with industry trends and techniques through continuous professional development
Learn fundamental hairdressing techniques under the guidance of experienced stylists




Assist with client services including shampooing, conditioning, and basic styling
Develop technical skills in cutting, colouring, and finishing techniques
Maintain salon cleanliness and organisation standards
Demonstrate a commitment to learning and professional development
Build strong customer service skills and salon awareness
What we're looking for
Recognised hairdressing qualification or equivalent experience
Minimum 3-5 years of professional hairdressing experience in a salon setting
Advanced proficiency in cutting, colouring, and styling techniques
Proven ability to mentor and support junior staff members
Strong communication and customer service skills
Passion for creativity and staying current with industry trends
Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
Minimum Year 10 education or equivalent
Willingness to undertake a formal hairdressing apprenticeship
Strong work ethic and commitment to learning
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Attention to detail and personal presentation
Passion for the hair and beauty industry
