Defence Systems Engineer | Requirements Engineer
n
Systems engineering contracts available across Defence capability programs in Canberra. Work sits inside CASG / SPO teams and covers requirements, design review, integration, V&V; and contractor deliverable assurance.

Key responsibilities
n
Requirements analysis, allocation and baseline management (DOORS valued)
n
Engineering artefacts, configuration and technical risk
n
Review of design packs and prime-contractor deliverables
n
Support to design reviews, certification and introduction into service
n
Translate operational need into requirements, acceptance criteria and work packages
n
Engage Defence stakeholders, primes and other engineering disciplines
n
About you
n
8+ years systems engineering on complex ICT, communications, C2 or platform systems
n
Degree in systems, electrical,



communications or related engineering
n
Chartered (Engineers Australia or equivalent) or a clear path to it
n
Defence / CASG project experience
n
ASDEFCON and One Defence Capability System (ODCS) highly regarded
n
Strong written English and stakeholder skills
n
Australian Citizens with a current Defence security clearance
n
Well regarded: Control systems or platform integration
n
Well regarded: VCRM, test planning and technical certification
n
Well regarded: ITAR / export-control awareness
n
Also practical for some roles RF, SATCOM and networks experience.
n
Contract rate $130–$145 per hour + GST. 8-hour day. ABN contractors. Rate depending on skills and start date.
