Fresh HR Insights is recruiting on behalf of a long-established, family-owned recreational vehicle dealership based on the Gold Coast – Tweed border. They sell new and used campervans, motorhomes and caravans to customers right across the country, and they have built their reputation on looking after those customers properly before, during and after the sale.
This is a small, close-knit business. There is no corporate structure, no layers to work through, and no two days the same. Everyone rolls their sleeves up and helps out, and the people who enjoy working there are the ones who like being busy and like getting things done.
About the role
This is a brand new full-time role supporting the Sales and Office Manager. You will be the person who makes sure no enquiry is missed and no vehicle sits on the yard unlisted.
It is a genuine mix of sales and hands-on practical work. One hour you are on the phone following up an internet enquiry, the next you are photographing a new arrival for the website, and after that you are making up a bed and running the checks so a van is ready for a customer to walk through. If you want a desk job, this is not it. If you like variety, movement and talking to people who are excited about their next trip, you will love it.
What you will be doing
Answering the phone and responding to internet and email enquiries quickly – same day is the standard
Making outbound calls to current and older leads, having real conversations and working out who is ready to buy
Sending customers links to the vehicles they are interested in by email and text
Passing genuine buyers across to the Sales and Office Manager to close
Photographing stock, recording accurate specifications and keeping the listings live and current




Greeting customers on site and walking them through vehicles
Getting vehicles ready for viewings and handovers – making up beds, cleaning interiors, running the house checks
Handover paperwork, registrations, vehicle movements and pick-ups
What we are looking for
Sales experience – ideally cars, caravans, RVs, boats, machinery or something else people think about before they buy
A confident phone manner and no hesitation about picking up the phone and making outbound calls
Someone who takes a decent photo on a phone or camera and can write an accurate listing
Accuracy with specifications, paperwork and registration details
Comfort with Apple – the office runs on Macs, iPhones and iPads
A current driver's licence. A manual licence and confidence driving larger vehicles is a real advantage
Patience, a sense of humour and a willingness to muck in. It is a fast-paced business, priorities change through the day, and instructions come quickly. That suits some people down to the ground and drives others mad – be honest with yourself about which one you are
No big egos. It is a small team and they back each other up
What is on offer
Full time, 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday
11 rostered Saturdays across the year – you will know the dates well in advance so you can plan around them – paid at an above-award rate
After six months you join the bonus scheme. On current performance rates that is averaging around an additional $12,000 a year before tax. It is based on results, so it is not a guarantee, but it is real money and the team earns it
