Linishing/Honing/Grinding

Chrome Engineering has been serving Australia wide for over 50 years, specialising in Mining & Industrial Engineering services. Operating out of Moonaboola Industrial Estate in Maryborough QLD.
n
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic & reliable Machine Operator to join our supportive and collaborative team.
n
n
Monday to Friday position, 5 days a week
n
Normal Hours are 7am to 3pm with 6:30am start on Wednesdays
n
Additional OT available
n
Casual start with the chance for fulltime permanent employment, pending a probation period
n
n

Great communication and organisation skills
n
The ability to work unsupervised and part of a team
n
A can-do attitude and flexible approach towards work duties and tasks
n
Micrometer measuring experience or willingness to learn
n
A skilled, hands-on individual who ismechanically minded
n
Willing to learn linishing & polishing
n
n
General Responsibilities:
n
n
Operation of machinery




n
Maintain the quality system as directed by the Quality Assurance Team
n
Responsible for the daily maintenance of machine being operated
n
To perform work indicated on job cards
n
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health & Safety
n
Undertake all work in accordance with Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures
n
Identify and report any non-conformances to the relevant supervisor on work in progress
n
n
Requirements:
n
n
Willingness to learn operating a cylindrical grinding machine, linishing and micrometer measuring.
n
History of safe working practices
n
Knowledge of machine tool safety
n
A skilled, hands-on individual who is mechanically minded
n
