Job Description
The role of the intensive care nurse is specialised and team-oriented, providing consumer-centred, evidence-based care to critically ill patients with complex and rapidly changing clinical needs.

Key responsibilities

Deliver safe, high-quality and evidence-based care to patients within the Intensive Care Unit.
n
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
n
Maintain effective communication and therapeutic relationships with patients, families and healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.
n
Contribute to safety, quality improvement, audits and service initiatives within the Intensive Care Unit.
