About The Opportunity
n
This is a rare chance to step up. You'll prepare accurate, detailed estimates and tender submissions across a range of commercial construction projects, while heading up the commercial arm of the business and stepping into a senior, mentoring role within the team.

Reporting directly to the Business Director/Owner, your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Heading up and growing the commercial estimating arm of the business
n
Ensuring tenders are prepared and submitted accurately and on time
n
Supporting and coaching junior estimators as they build their skills
n
Analysing bid documents to identify risks and opportunities for client reviews
n
Preparing detailed trade breakups, bills of quantities and full tender submissions
n
Sourcing, negotiating and securing competitive supplier and subcontractor pricing
n
Managing tenders independently, from initial documentation through to final submission
n
Reviewing drawings and specifications,



including structural (concrete, earthworks), fit out and refurbishment scopes, to confirm documentation and define scope
n

About You
n
The successful candidate will have:
n
n
Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
n
A genuine desire to step up into a Senior Estimator role and grow with the business
n
Hands on experience using Cubit or CostX, essential (Cubit highly regarded)
n
Experience tendering on structural projects (concrete, earthworks) and/or fit out and refurbishment projects
n
3+ years' commercial construction estimating experience (or relevant trade experience for junior candidates)
n
A genuine trade background, highly desirable; candidates with robust trade experience but less estimating tenure will also be considered
n
Confidence managing tenders independently from start to finish; the depth of this experience will determine whether you're best suited to our Intermediate or Senior opening
